For established service businesses

One experienced problem solver. Less for you to figure out.

Websites. Google. Advertising. Email. Reviews. AI. Automation. Spreadsheets. And all the other things that keep coming up. Bring me the question or problem. I’ll help you decide what to do and get it handled.

  • 20+ years helping business owners with marketing and technology
  • Work directly with Tom you won’t be handed off to an account manager
  • Long-term relationships the better I know your business, the more I can help

What keeps coming up

Who takes care of all this at your company?

You may not need another full-time employee. You still need someone to handle these things. In many businesses, they end up on the owner’s desk.

01

Your Google Business Profile needs attention, and Google’s instructions aren’t helping.

02

Your website needs a new page, better copy or an urgent repair, and you’re not sure who still has the passwords.

03

The ad bill keeps arriving, but you’re not sure what the advertising is producing.

04

You have years of customer email addresses, but no plan for staying in touch with them.

05

A staff member spends hours updating a painful spreadsheet, and you suspect there’s a better way.

06

You hear a lot about AI, but you don’t know what would actually help your business.

07

Something new comes along or something old breaks, and once again you have to find someone to call.

“Tom can make sense of what many business owners can’t understand. His ability to ask the right questions to help me establish realistic goals and execute a strategy is phenomenal. Tom is my ‘go to’ guy.”
Scott Welsh · Owner, Courtesy Auto Service · Client since 2010

Two ways to begin

Get help with one problem, or hire me as your ongoing partner.

You don’t need to commit to an ongoing relationship just to get help with one important problem. Start with the need in front of you.

One immediate issue

Problem-Solving Session

Bring me the marketing or technology question that is costing you time or keeping you from moving forward.

$750 one time

  • A short preparation questionnaire
  • Review of the relevant website, campaign, system or materials
  • Up to 90 minutes working through the problem together
  • A written summary of what I recommend and what to do next
  • Small fixes during the session when time allows

If you begin an ongoing engagement within 30 days, the full $750 is credited to your first month.

How it works

Start by telling me what’s happening.

You don’t need to know whether you need a web developer, an advertising consultant or someone else. Determining that is part of what I do.

1

Tell me what’s going on.

Show me the problem, the proposal you don’t understand or the task that keeps landing back on your desk.

2

We work out the real issue.

I ask questions, look at the facts and find out what is causing the problem.

3

We decide what to do next.

I may solve it, improve what you already have, recommend a specialist, or tell you it isn’t worth spending money on right now.

You don’t need the right terminology

You don’t need to know what service you need.

You don’t need to decide which type of specialist to hire before you call. Tell me what’s happening and we’ll work out what, if anything, needs to be done.

The answer might be a web page, better copy, an advertising change, an automation, a spreadsheet, a new process or just a clear explanation.

“We’ve got this problem…”

“Can you take a look at this?”

“Does this proposal make any sense?”

“There has to be a better way to do this.”

“Could AI help us with this?”

What I can help with

One person to call for a wide range of needs.

You may only need a few of these services. When something else comes up, you won’t have to start over with someone new.

Websites & Copywriting

New pages, landing pages, updates, repairs and copy that clearly explains your business.

Google & Local Visibility

Google Business Profiles, local search, corrections, categories, photos and reviews.

Google & Meta Advertising

Planning, setting up, managing and reviewing paid advertising.

Email, Funnels & Follow-Up

Using your customer and prospect lists to stay in touch and follow up with people who show interest.

Reviews & Reputation

Simple systems to get more honest reviews and manage your online reputation.

AI & Automation

Using AI and automation to save staff time, improve follow-up and organize information.

Spreadsheets & Business Systems

Better tools to track leads, customers, projects, fulfillment and recurring work.

Advice & Troubleshooting

Reviewing software, vendors, proposals and new ideas, and helping with problems that don’t fit one of the categories above.

I try to keep things simple.

If a simple solution works, we’ll use it. I won’t recommend replacing something that already works just because there is a newer option. Technology should save you time, not give you more to manage.

Tom Dunn, founder of LucidPage

About Tom

I’m Tom Dunn.

For more than 20 years, I’ve helped business owners with websites, search, advertising, email, software, spreadsheets and other day-to-day marketing and technology problems.

I like to understand how things work, find the cause of a problem and fix it.

I prefer working with a small number of clients for a long time. You work directly with me. I don’t hand you off to an account manager or support department.

The longer I know your company, the less you need to explain each time something changes. I know what you’ve tried, how your systems work and what matters to you.

Why clients stay

Good advice, quick responses and results.

Clients hire me for different reasons. They often mention the same things: I respond quickly, learn their business and help them get results.

Who I work best with

We may be a good fit if:

I work with a small number of established businesses. That gives me time to know the company and the people well enough to be helpful.

  • You run an established, owner-led service business.
  • Marketing and technology needs come up regularly, but you don’t have a substantial in-house marketing department.
  • You would rather run the company than spend weekends learning advertising platforms, AI tools and WordPress plugins.
  • You value an experienced opinion, including advice not to spend the money.
  • You want one accountable person who understands the whole picture, not five disconnected vendors.

Common questions

Before we talk.

What kinds of problems can I bring to a Problem-Solving Session?

Anything connected to your marketing, website, online presence, advertising, email, reviews, AI, automation, spreadsheets or business systems. If it is outside my experience, I’ll tell you before you pay for a session.

Does the $750 session include implementation?

It includes preparation, up to 90 minutes of working time and a written summary of what I recommend. If a small fix can be completed during that time, we’ll do it. Larger work is priced separately or added to our priorities if you become an ongoing client.

Is the ongoing relationship unlimited?

You can ask questions without worrying about an hourly meter. The work itself is not unlimited. We keep a list, focus on one main project at a time and continue handling normal questions and smaller needs.

What would be priced separately?

Major website builds, substantial custom development, high-volume content production, outside specialist work, software, media and advertising spend. If something belongs outside the normal relationship, we discuss it and agree on the cost before work begins.

Why is the initial ongoing commitment 90 days?

I need time to learn your business. During the first 90 days, I review what you already have, handle immediate problems and learn how we work best together. After that, the engagement continues month to month for as long as it works for both of us.

Do you only work with businesses near Pawleys Island?

No. LucidPage is based in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, but I have worked successfully with businesses across the United States for years. Most of this work can be handled remotely.
